Daniel Dale Johnston (born January 22, 1961) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and artist. Johnston was the subject of the 2006documentary The Devil and Daniel Johnston. He currently lives in Waller, Texas.

Johnston has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.^[1][2][3] One critic writes that Johnston's recordings range from "spotty to brilliant."^[4]

The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite and the fifth largest satellite in the Solar System. The average centre-to-centre distance from the Earth to the Moon is 384,403 kilometres (238,857 mi), about thirty times the diameter of the Earth. The common centre of mass of the system (the barycentre) is located at about 1,700 kilometres (1,100 mi)—a quarter the Earth's radius—beneath the surface of the Earth. The Moon makes a complete orbit around the Earth every 27.3 days^{[nb 3]} (the orbital period), and the periodic variations in the geometry of the Earth–Moon–Sun system are responsible for the phases of the Moon, which repeat every 29.5 days^{[nb 4]} (the synodic period).

The Moon's diameter is 3,474 kilometres (2,159 mi),^[4] a little more than a quarter of that of the Earth. Thus, the Moon's surface area is less than a tenth of the Earth (about a quarter of Earth's land area, approximately as large as Russia, Canada, and the United States combined), and its volume is about 2 percent that of Earth. The pull of gravity at its surface is about 17 percent of that at the Earth's surface.

The Moon is the only celestial body on which human beings have made a manned landing. While the Soviet Union's Luna programme was the first to reach the Moon with unmanned spacecraft, the NASA Apollo program achieved the only manned missions to date, beginning with the first manned lunar mission by Apollo 8 in 1968, and six manned lunar landings between 1969 and 1972 – the first being Apollo 11 in 1969. Human exploration of the Moon temporarily ceased with the conclusion of the Apollo program, although a few robotic landers and orbiters have been sent to the Moon since that time. The U.S. has committed to return to the Moon by 2018.^[5][6][7] On November 13, 2009, NASA announced the discovery of proof that water exists on the Moon, based on data obtained from the LCROSS lunar impact mission.^[8]

Logan Maxwell Hagege is a talented artist who excels in depicting the figure and landscapes. Serious study in art started for Logan when early interest in animation sent him to a local art school, Associates in Art. His interest quickly moved from animation to fine art while attending life drawing classes, and later the Academy`s Advanced Masters Program, which was modeled after the old time French Art Schools where students spent more than six hours per day studying from live models. Logan also studied privately under Steve Huston and Joseph Mendez.


This artist has drawn inspiration for his subjects from his native Southern California as well as by traveling extensively to view various landscapes in the American Southwest and the Northeast Coast of the U.S.


Logan finds encouragement and guidance in masters of the past such as Gustav Klimpt, N.C. Wyeth, T.W. Dewing and Maynard Dixon. One idea that drives Logan`s work is that evolution in art is never ending. He is constantly challenging himself with new ideas and new ways of looking at the same subject.

time was different. this time. the stars grabbed his attention. slowing time down. he inhaled it all in. life in.

the celestial bodies brightened. milky way's magnitude stepped back. revealed her gems. orion's belt followed it's imaginary line to the north star, bounced toward the bull and paused upon it's twinkling strength.

he'd never known such bright stars. such black. space.

he began to connect dots. stars. moons. galaxies. forming his own ideas. patterns.

heavens began to fade. he bid adieu. inhaled it all in.

the bell rang. round 14. he realized for the first time. the first time. what it was. why it was.

he was fighting forward.

the ref summoned the 2 prize fighters to the center of the canvas. jeers issued. encouragement. issued passion. ring side.

the fighter stood in the center of the square. lowered his hands. his arms. let his shoulders soften. as the opponent landed a direct hit. a massive attack. his bludgeoned face...
